My Mother’s Child was created as a tribute to my mom and all the Mother’s in the world doing a great job taking care of their children, being grateful for raising us despite the challenges the world throws in their path.. it also highlights the life experience as a kid born and raised in the ghetto and being raised by a single mom for almost all my life, the personal experiences the setbacks plus the achievements. People we grew up with and people we’ve come to know good or bad, it also focuses on how HipHop especially Rap has had a huge impact on raising me and turning me into a better man.
